The Famous Painters and Their Paintings Appearing in Beijing

Xinhua net (by Zhang Xiaosong) There were more than 200 amazing works from 20 famous painters such as Shaoguang Ding, Yongle Chen, Chongguang Ping and so on. Those people who were on behalf of the high level of Today’s Yunnan School assembled in Beijing and participated in “The National Exhibition of the Modern Print and Heavy Color Painting” in The China Millennium Monument World Art Museum on Dec. 20th.

The promoter Yunsong Jin said, as the important art prompting project in 2008, this exhibition was mainly about the ethnic minorities in Yunnan life to display Yunnan unique humanities style and artistic charms, which warmed and beautified the winter in Beijing. Beijing was the first stop of the exhibition and it would last for a week. 

In the late 1970s, some Yunnan local painters created new and unique modern prints and heavy color paintings of Yunnan characteristics, and it depended on the local special natural humanities resources, combining with the concepts of the traditional claborate-style painting and the western modern painting, on the one hand, paying attention to the expression of national language; on the other hand, paying attention to the decoration effect and color use with a strong visual impact, which was called as “Yunnan painting”.
